Renard Lattimore

Founding partner

Renard has defended DUI cases for most of his career. He knows the breath machines, the blood labs and the officers' training manuals, and he reads the maintenance logs nobody else asks for.

Renard leads the firm's DUI and vehicular cases, in Tennessee and in the Mississippi courts just south of the city. He starts every case with the license hearing, because it has the shortest deadline and because the officer's testimony there is often the first time anyone has asked them a question under oath.

How Renard runs a case

Renard requests the license hearing in the first days of a case, so the client keeps driving while the criminal case runs.

He orders the video from every camera that might have caught the stop: dashcam, bodycam, the jail's booking room, sometimes a gas station on the corner.

He explains the breath or blood result in plain numbers, including how far it might be off, so a client knows what the state's best evidence really is.
